Okay so Trenor is a lot worse than I thought. Essentially, he was trying to
rape Lily. It’s kind of scary to think that he telegrammed Lily pretending to
be his wife and had this whole thing pre-planned. Not that a spur of the moment
thing would have been any better, but the fact that it was premeditated shows
that he’s hiding quite a lot behind that whole “gentleman” façade. It’s
honestly disgusting that Lily couldn’t do anything to stop it. If she yelled
for help, people would have questioned why she was there. The only good part of
this chapter was Gerty. Thank GOD for that woman honestly.
